Stef ZAs members of the Markham-Stouffville Jr. Stars Girls Hockey team, Stefaine and Stephanie understand what it takes to compete at the next level. They are leaders both on and off the ice, pushing themselves and their teammates to compete every single day. Battling through personal injury and team adversity has further helped their development.

After completing a summer conditioning program with their team atSteph D A4A during the summer, Stef and Steph have continued to work with Coach Brad Corcoran to achieve new levels of athletic performance. The combined efforts of the team, Coaching Staff, and A4A’s training allowed the Jr. Stars to have a successful and competitive showing against the Women’s National Olympic Hockey Team from China. Both girls have aspirations to compete at the University level next season, and are taking all of the necessary steps to compete at that level.

Although he is not training to perform at a higher level on a field, Kirk is looking to better his quality of life. Within the past 3 years, Kirk has had both of his hips replaced with artificial implants due a degenerative condition. Over the past 18 months, Kirk has looked to A4A staff for post-surgery rehabilitation, strength and conditioning, and flexibility programs to allow him to function at a higher level. Kirk is an avid participant in our bi-weekly lunch-time Pilates classes and is a very energetic and enthusiastic individual.
