ANOTHER GREAT FESTIVAL WITH TWICE AS MANY PEOPLE AS LAST YEAR
On Sunday August 15th, the annual Festival 4 Athletes which was primarily supported by Advantage Fitness, Personal Best Health & Performance and The Canadian Scholarship Trust Foundation, raised twice as much for the Argo Foundation Stop the Violence Program.
In addition to Olympic and professional athletes, kids as young as 4 years old competed with their friends and family members to not only raise funds for the Argo Foundation but also to collect food for the Markham Food Bank.
Don't miss the next Festival!
PRESS RELEASE JULY 6, 2010
CANADIAN SCHOLARSHIP TRUST FOUNDATION TO SUPPORT
FESTIVAL 4 ATHLETES
Festival 4 Athletes organizers are thrilled to announce that the Canadian Scholarship Trust Foundation has joined Advantage Fitness Sales, and Personal Best Health & Performance, as platinum sponsors for the upcoming annual event, on August 15th.
The primary objective for the day is to raise awareness, funds and support the Toronto Argonauts Foundation “Stop The Violence” Campaign and the Markham Food Bank.
This unique event brings athletes together in a fun environment to challenge their peers, parents, teachers and coaches. People can participate, or spectate. Participants test their speed (with an electronic timer), vertical jump (on a force platform), strength, and agility. With an age range in the past from 6 to 50 years old, the most interesting challenges have included kids challenging their parents! Furthermore, Olympic and professional athletes will be on-site to sign autographs, and pose for pictures.
The Festival will run from 1-4pm on Sunday, August 15th and is hosted at Advantage’s world class training facility (500 Denison St.) in Markham www.advantage4athletes.com

Check out what we did last year,
and don't miss our next Festival Sunday August 15th 2010!!

The energy for the day was primarily fueled by Toronto Argos alumni players and the many Olympic athletes who brought their medals, signed autographs, and posed for pictures. Furthermore, Argos quarterback Kerry Joseph was outstanding, and stayed well beyond the time he was committed to, he was a true gentleman.

To all the volunteers and coaches who gave their time freely and tirelessly leading up to and on the day of the Festival, many thanks – you were all amazing.

Without the support of our corporate partners, the day would not have been possible.
