The key to any injury recovery program is a proper diagnosis; because if you don’t know the root of the problem, you cannot effectively treat it. This is where our service is particularly useful in determining the best course of action for your injury. If your injury is amenable to manual therapy then a treatment and exercise program will be designed for you. If your injury requires advanced imaging or immediate medical care you will be directed to the appropriate practitioner for further investigation.
Dr. Scott uses a functional integrated approach in the treatment of injuries. The goal of any treatment is to restore proper function to an injured area in order to allow the person to return to normal activity in a safe and timely fashion.
Integrated treatments combine a variety of different manual techniques to address all components of an injury. For example: acupuncture may be used to relieve pain, Active Release Techniques (ART) is used to deal with soft tissue injuries, chiropractic adjustments are used to address joint dysfunction and exercises are given to prevent re-injury.
When proper function and strength are restored then you can get back to enjoying your activities safely.
